A day at Camp Che-Na-Wah
July 1st was a wonderful day in Camp Che-Na-Wah. The day began with the singing of happy birthday to not 1..not 2..not 3..but 4 Che-Na-Wah girls! The morning continued to blossum with even more girls passing their deep water tests, shooting bulls-eye’s in archery, and of course many loops around the lake on skis! The afternoon was a bit wetter than the sunny morning, but even with the thunder and rain the smiles didn’t stop. We held a lip synch in the social hall with a 90’s theme! The performances were creative and hilarious with numbers like “I feel like a woman,” “ice ice baby,” and the friends theme song–just to name a few. ย In the middle of switching acts everyone eyes went straight to the windows on the right side of the room–what we saw was a beautiful rainbow stretching from bunks 10-16 all the way across camp. Che-Na-Wah girls truely find beauty in everything…even on the rainest of days.
