Blue and Gold Break

Finally, after weeks of anticipation, Blue & Gold finally broke tonight! Rumors spread throughout camp that a new law was being passed in New York State that would prohibit our Waitresses and 1st year Counselors from returning next summer because of age restrictions. Campers and Staff were devastated and many campers were already starting on a letter-writing campaign to the Governor. At dinner line-up, some of the Counselors asked for an explanation of the new law, and Barbara explained the situation to the entire camp. While she was saying that the laws were still up for discussion, the Waitresses ran out of the Dining Room, screaming, “Blue & Gold”. Everyone was screaming, and everyone was relieved to find out that the rumors about the counselors were just rumors. For evening activity, the 4 judges were announced to the camp and the camp was broken into the 2 teams. Camp is buzzing with excitement and everyone is will be wearing blue & gold for the next 4 days.
