Now that I am lucky enough to have my own Che-Na-Wah girl…

Now that I am lucky enough to have my own Che-Na-Wah girl, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about all of the incredible things she will get to experience. She’ll get to live in bunk two, probably a few times. That was a bunk I never lived in, so I’m psyched that she will. She will maybe get to pick the colors for blue and gold or Penn/Cornell from Barbara’s hand, what a big deal!  Juliana will get to have Jen as a camp mom and maybe Dylan as a counselor!  Talk about a Friedman family affair!! Like all of you, she’ll hike Goodnow, make s’mores, get wayyy to many bug bites, love lake Balfour, run down to juice call and linger at terrace treats.  She’ll have days where she has the “best schedule ever!!”  And days she won’t!!   Like you, I’m sure she’ll want Gaga Ball and ski.  She’ll make bracelets and signs in arts and crafts and visit her camp sister.  During 6th period, you may be able to find her playing Kan Jam with Grobie.  Like a Che-Na-Wah girl, Mac and cheese will be a lunch favorite and maybe Alice will teach her how to eat a fudgicle!!  At breakfast she’ll want to raise the flag and honor someone at dinner line up. Juliana will work hard to pass her deep water test like all of you and give waterskiing a try. Maybe she’ll even be a skier of the week like her mom!

Of all of these things that Juliana will love about camp, she will love being a Che-Na-Wah girl and the special bond that we all share.  She will be lucky to find her closest friends and make memories in the most gorgeous mountains.  She’ll live by beauty, truth, fortitude and love.  And she’ll learn these things from all of you.
