Visiting Day 2012!

Visiting day began Friday night July 13th.  After dinner at around 6:45PM, the parents were welcomed into the camp by the campers and counselors.  There was time for visiting and talking in the bunks until 7:15 when the Che-Na-Wah family (with Baco brothers) gathered on the front lawn for a show overlooking Lake Balfour.  Ruth Wortman performed, and different bunks showed off the awesome dances they worked on with the dance counselors all summer.  No visiting day show is complete without Bunk 22 leading Catch the Spirit with Ruth.

After the show, there were refreshments in the dining room for all of the visitors.  The campers and families then said goodnight, so they could get enough rest before the full day of visiting!

All of the parents arrived Saturday morning for services and assembly first period.  Once assembly ended and activities began, parents could accompany their campers to activities and see all of the skills they have been learning.  After 3rd period, families were able to line up for our favorite… visiting day lunch!

There were designated times throughout the day where brothers and sisters were driven to visit at the other camp.  They were able to cheer their sisters and brothers on while they played sports, and even water-skied for their families.

For 6th period, everyone was invited to take a dip in Lake Balfour, which was one of the most popular activities on that very hot day.

Once visiting day came to an end… the water fight began!  It was so much fun!!  What a great way to end an awesome visiting day.
