The past few weeks, many campers in Che-Na-Wahs bunk 22 have been completing their LGT certification. LGT, or lifeguard training, has been a daily activity for the Upper Seniors. Some portions of the course, taught by our fabulous Aquatics Director, Sarah Zuckerman, include retrieving a brick in the deep end of he lake, and “saving” their friends and counselors. We happily jump into Balfour each day, excited to learn more saving techniques. Participating in the LGT program is very exciting, because this way we will be qualified to be waterfront counselors here at CNW!
All of us have special interest in becoming swim, ski, or BCS counselors in 2 years, and completing lifeguard training is the first step towards this goal.
Look forward to pictures of your favorite 22 girls learning to lifeguard throughout the summer!
